The Web Poetry Corner - Faye Hoffman - The Mirror
The Mirror
by
Faye Hoffman
Look into the mirror.
Look hard and you will see.
Who is the reflection?
Is the reflection me?
Get close up to the mirror.
Look hard throughout your eyes.
Past shapes and resemblences,
past the old disguise.
What is the truth,
what do you see?
Who is the monster?
Is it still me?
Who is the Father,
who has made me?
Who is the reflection,
of what you now see?
I look into the mirror,
and guess who I see?
It's now your reflection,
staring back at me.
NEXT?
Why don't you look at
TELL ME YOU LOVE ME
