The Web Poetry Corner - Faye Hoffman - That's How It Feels
That's How It Feels
by
Faye Hoffman
You're crying to me,
how you're hurting inside.
You don't think I love you.
Where's all of that pride?
Don't you remember,
all of the years,
of pain that you caused me,
and all of my tears?
When you're alone,
feeling down,and on your own,
when tears start to spill,
then you'll know how it feels.
It feels like a heartbreak,
like you did to me.
Just like you're feeling now.
It's time for you to see.
Just how it feels,
how my pain was real.
That's how it hurts,
and that's how it feels.
