The Web Poetry Corner - Faye Hoffman - Deep Down

Deep Down

by

Faye Hoffman

I'm alone once again, where I used to be.
Never thought I'd be back here,
broken down upon my knees.

It feels like I'm crying, but I shed no tears.
Deep down I tremble,
from what my heart fears.

I'm alone again, back to the start.
Right where I've always been,
with this broken heart.

I close my eyes and see the black,
I thought I'd never see.
Alone again, and crying, over you and me.

It feels like I'm crying, but I've shed no tears.
Deep down I'm dieing.
Deep down I have these fears.

deep down I hide from, how I really feel.
The truth is,
deep down, I love you still.
