The Web Poetry Corner - Estel Sowell - dull silver

dull silver

by

Estel Sowell

Like the dull silver
That passes through my veins
From the moment the needle
Releases the narcotic
To flow freely through my brain
Tantalizing my thoughts
And dreams
Twisting my emotions
Like the elastic-plastic
On a toy airplane
Twisting ever tighter
With such sweet agony
Sudden to release
In euphoric spasms of delight
Erotic in it's warmth
Psychotic in it's perversion
Delicious in it's simplicity
Easing my pain
With the grace
Of dull-
Silver
