The Web Poetry Corner - Esmarelda Mercado - Untitled
Untitled
by
Esmarelda Mercado
I look into your eyes,
And all I see is cold,
I wish I could calm your cries,
but, I'm not all that bold.
I try to help you all that I can,
But there is nothing left for me to do,
You have to stand up and be a man.
Nobody can help you now,
You have to help yourself.
Stop you hurting and open you heart,
then you will realize,
that you are only tearing yourself apart.
Take it from me,
because I have been there before,
It isn't that pretty,
there on the other floor!
