Reflect The Sky
by
Erik Walter Lauritzen
I want to make love to you
on a blanket of stars.
I want to rip that exquisite dress
off your flesh,
and hide it 'neath your head.
I want to watch the sky above us reflecting in
your eyes.
I want to ride you like a
cowgirl in the sand,
I want to hold you tightly as the
wind sings its command,
I want you to hold my back
and pull me in,
I think I want you to be my
forever sin.
I want to wash the sweat from
your porcelain skin
with just one touch,
I want to have this body of copper
never tarnish, never rust.
But you sweet land bound angel,
can make it blush.
I want your legs 'round me
as we dance in the air.
I want your arms to hold me if
they dare.
I want your eyes to sing
and your soul to come,
I want to ride your beauty
like a carriage into the sun.
I want to hear your voice calling
out my name.
I want to mend your exquisite dress
and help you put it on again.
And like my own personal angel of
devotion,
I want you to assure me of my goodness
and hold me as the fire in your eyes
subside and the fire on the earth slowly dies,
leaving a blanket of stars.
And I'd wrap that blanket around you
my precious woman so true
and then together we could float
past the vastness of the moon.
