The Web Poetry Corner - Emma - Louise Braiden - The Remnants of You
The Remnants of You
by
Emma - Louise Braiden
What gets to me is your attitude
The way you view life
How two-faced your motives are
How can you be?
How can you live like that?
These remnants i see here beside me
A few centimeters away
Your clothes and books - there
Innocently normal appearance
Yet you are so far from innocence
That your smile is jaded
And can no longer be called a smile
You can no longer be called a child...
