The Web Poetry Corner - Elizabeth J. Langley - Shadows Day

Shadows Day

by

Elizabeth J. Langley

The sky awashed with hues of red and gold
The sun shimmers on horizon bold
The heat of day is almost gone
A shadow of its former glory
Now dusted with the evening sky
A star or two that twinkle high
And with last glow the sun is gone
A sunset puntuates its end
as gentle ushers the days friend
A night to start or is it end?
The sky with dark black crusting blues and reds
As a wind blows cool as hues grow cold
the night just shadow for sun glorious day
I sit and wonder as this world turns
A partnership of black and light
With each day comes shadows night.
