Vivienne
by
Dwayne Pagnotto
Lightly she dances across the horizon
Peeling away veils of moonlight fair
Restoring again the stolen sight of the sun
Which was blinded by her beauty's glare.
Then sweetly she sings the world into being
And the waves pay her homage as they swell ever higher
While the astonished heavens listen to her voice
Celebrating her song in glorious paegants of fire.
As she tiptoes delicately down the clouds
Making her way towards earth with stained glass wings
She spreads a tantalizing fragrance of myrrh and frankincense
Costly spices, the treasures of eastern kings.
Then she touches down and treads softly along
As feathery stars spring up from the footprints she leaves
While the playful wind trails lovingly behind
Fashioning her hair into an elegant weave.
Her eyes burn with a million fires
Like the essence of nightshade when twilight descends
Her caress is like the touch of invisible love spirits
On whom magical blissfilled whispers attend.
Then she spins around in a burst of kaleidoscopic colors
As a rain of silver rose petals fall gently on the grass
And before departing she kneels to blow a kiss across the meadows
Revealing herself to be the Angel of flowers at last.
