The Web Poetry Corner - Dwayne Pagnotto - Unresolved
Unresolved
by
Dwayne Pagnotto
Watch now I pray you
As I let fly
This arrow
Into the misty
Sky.
Wherever it lands
Whether far
Or nigh
You shall bury my body
In that place
When I die.
No tears
Will be shed
All cheeks
Will stay
Dry
When all of you
Stand there
And say
Your goodbyes.
There shall not
Be heard
So much
As a sigh
But with this
One request
You must comply.
Upon the tombstone
Over the grave
Where I lie
The only epitaph
You shall inscribe
Is the word
Why.
NEXT?
Why don't you look at
Like a Rose
