Emptiness of purpose
Quelled all feelings
Of joy.

As the light turned
To sudden darkness.

Like a hungry animal
Driven to desperation.

Praying upon innocent shelterlings
From the immaculate shores.

Then a simple spark
Burns desire away

As the foam of untold centuries
Lay hard upon mankind's awakening.

And the fever of knowledge
Lays low the unborn.
