The Web Poetry Corner - Dwayne Pagnotto - Subdued Happiness

Subdued Happiness

by

Dwayne Pagnotto

After the plague

A new springtime

Joyous rebirth of mankind.

Musicians playing in the streets

Brightly colored clothes

Dancing feet.

New day celebration

Of the Sun

Shedding his withered skin

With mourning done.

Taking his place

Amidst the clouds in glory

Leaving the earth their dead to bury.
