Reflections

by

Dwayne Pagnotto

Your eyes are aglow with radiant moonbeams
Your lips form a glistening rose.

Your voice called me once in a daydream
And it sounded as lovely as the new-fallen snows.

Your hair is soft, spun from gold...brighter than the morning sun
Beneath your feet the flowers unfold when thru the fragrant meadows you run.

Your skin is wet when you awake in the morn, as from your bed of clouds you arise
You look as tho you've been reborn from the tears of a goddess's eyes.

Your cheeks blush softly with the colors of dawn, your spirit coos gently like a dove
I caught a glimpse of your beauty in a crystal pond and saw the tender reflection of love.

So turn away now and with a sigh....wait for the coming of spring
When the songs of sweet love-birds will fill the sky and caress your heart with gossamer wings.
