The sorrowing winds
Carried with it
Reminders of the past.

Soft whisperings of us
Under the trees at moon dawn.

Your eyes speaking softly
Telling me your heart
Still cares.

So does mine.

Though I never had the pleasure
Of tasting you

I can feel you all around me.

Your warmth
Your smile
Your tenderness

Oversweeten the air.

A simple word
A simple look
From you
And I am inspired.

My dear muse

Tho I never had the honor
Of holding your hand
I believe our spirits touched.

I could never hurt you
Nor be angry with you

Because you are my dream.

When I look back

I sigh in sad regret

Because my plans came to nothing.

Although
It didn't work out
For us

I want you to know

The music of your love
Is the song
My soul
Will forever sing to.
