Nowhere (Dedicated to the love-death affair that runaways from the east have with the big cities out west)

Huge gods out on the western rise
Incline their heads towards eastern skies.

With their gaze they hypnotize
The children who've come to meet their demise.

They set out together like swarms of flies
In the land of hidden gold their destiny lies.

Guided by immortal flashing eyes
They go there happily, seeking their prize

Only to be preyed upon by the wicked and wise.

Nobody hears their innocent cries
Till slowly they are reduced to helpless sighs.

In this final posture each of them dies
Only to return in a different guise.
