Blessings of You

Sleeping in the comforting bosom of the night
Fallen leaves cover the ground
In a brightly embroidered mantle of tear-stained beauty.
Above these, the treasure guardian of heaven floats.
As she stoops down with wetted cheeks
To collect the severed tree-wanderlings into a basket.
Taking them up to paradise
Where they are placed upon branches of everlasting glory.
Then this shining virgin of lunar light
Hushes the world to sleep with silvery-running whispers.
As she descends skyclad and starcrowned
To tend the vibrant, shimmering earth garden
Which her own gently cascading, transparent hues of lovliness
Have created.
There in the middle of this lush, gorgeous greenery
Grows in full blossoming grandeur
The very flower
Which is the symbol of her overflowing, all-embracing love.
Before this rose of splendor
I drop
And breathe in with my entire being
Its rich inebriating fragrance.
Then as a warm sweetness overspreads my heart
I fall into a deep, tranquil slumber
In which I hear her speak ever so softly my name.
Afterwards I expire peacefully in her arms.
Made free at last
By the clearly echoing
Tenderly pure
Soul song
Of her forgiveness.
