The Web Poetry Corner - Dwayne Pagnotto - A Wild Revel
A Wild Revel
by
Dwayne Pagnotto
Help tapers off in the unforseen winter
As blue eyes question the sky
Reflecting back a hint of rain.
Sad spirits unable to rest
Go wandering thru stone castles
Seeking out hearts in turmoil.
With fears and doubts put to rest
Justified fury rises like a threatening westerly gale
Moving clouds along in a hurry.
A mysterious play is performed
With well-aimed scenes
Designed to wring the truth from the souls of the guilty.
The heart of the muderous king falters
Presented with re-enactments of his hidden sin
Son holds mother at sword point and her tune changes.
Secret crimes sing out
Death steals the show
And they all live unhappily ever-after.
