The Web Poetry Corner - Dwayne Pagnotto - A Touch Of Lovliness

A Touch Of Lovliness

by

Dwayne Pagnotto

She reminds me of a young goddess.

The Sun
Caresses her skin
With hues of blended light.

Lingers there
Then strokes her hair
With sweet tenderness.

Bathing every part of her with dreamglow.

Coloring her every movement and thought
With the warmth of love's fire
Which never leaves her.

Her eyes wetting
Like moist jewels.

Bright dew drops dapple her hair.

She wraps the wind around her finger
Playfully
Then let's it go.

It sweeps along
Flowers
Which turn into butterflies.

Butterflies
Which turn into birds.

And birds
Which turn into stars.

She catches the stars
One by one
Gives them each a kiss
And lets them go.

Then they float upwards, and burst into
radiant star flowers.

Each one falling beneath her feet
As steps softly along.

The trees all
Bow before her

And each leaf
Whispers her name
In newly minted tales
Of adoration.
