Sonnet: God Allows Devils Their Fill!

The drum-stick tree has many hanging fruits;
Some small, some big; some grown to massive size
The tree I thought would die has solid roots!
The lengthy fruits appear to eyes so nice.
A swarm of beetles, moths and butterflies,
Sit on the fruits to suck the sap freely;
The fruits keep drying despite their huge size!
And one by one, they meet their deaths early.
The world of human beings is likewise!
It puts to death innocent lives so oft;
Are virtues surpassed in this world by vice?
Is God to evil-doers being soft?
God gives the ‘devils’ too their food and drink!
For only then, most people get their wink!
