The Web Poetry Corner - Dr. John Celes - Pulling my own strings, my own way
Pulling my own strings, my own way
by
Dr. John Celes
Love me for whatever, I am;
Not for what you want me to be!
Being myself is my sole aim;
This is my Life in my body!
I pull my strings the way I want;
My Life is most precious to me;
Waste it the way you want, I can’t!
I want to live my way,freely!
Know your limits! I am free-born!
I take whatev’r is good for me;
Not the things you force down my throat;
God has made me too uniquely.
To swallow or else, is my job;
A most bitter pill, if need be;
If failure greets, let me just sob;
Rob me not of my sanity.
I cannot live with unknown fears;
Fears most groundless, unreal!
All my laments, He always hears;
None dare hurt me corporeal!
There is a risk in things we do;
No matter how small or how great;
Glory today comes but to few;
God, He watches our every feat!
Fear or strength, both reside in me;
Just toss the coin of Life your way;
None can predict it correctly;
Let not your fears all hold their sway.
Walk in your Life, boldly, upright;
Troubles do come as they are rife;
Face them as they come in your sight;
You need not fear as this is LIFE.
Remove those fears most unreal;
In your own time and your own style!
In less water, can you swim well?
Ignore your fears for a short while.
Umptine Galaxies exist!
Earth is one in the Milky way!
Assert your rights; tell faults outright;
Fight it out till you have your say.
