The Web Poetry Corner - Diane Klammer - Your Indelible Mark
Your Indelible Mark
by
Diane Klammer
Birthday Poem for Pauline
You stamped your soul
Into my heart
Long before I worked
With wood or rubber
You spirit incandescent wit
Cultivate caverns of generosity
You presided as first newcomer
I met in an alchemy of minds
You left heather covered hills
To come west
Colorado is fortunate
To cradle you home
It is a joy to know you
Dwell under the same bright moon
Inspire wherever you stomp and stamp
Shine on everyone lucky to call you friend
Love the way you are loved
Live an endless number of universes
On this unparalleled birthday
Laugh your happiness to grateful recipients
