The Web Poetry Corner - Diane Klammer - Toddler's Tale

Toddler's Tale

by

Diane Klammer

(for Aaron)

You binge wandering delight
Your arms wrap around me
Close and fleeting
Then you dash away to explore
Hidden and obvious unknowns

You exhibit unhurried frenzy of curiosity
Treasures that beguile your senses line
This uncharted maze of my friend’s house
Each fragile unwavering object teaches
New eyes, ears, fingertips and is stored

Until in a greeting of arms, cheeks and breath
Your love gage is filled and you toddle away
To begin another adventure

NEXT?
Why don't you look at I pity them
