The Web Poetry Corner - Diane Klammer - Loneliness
Loneliness
by
Diane Klammer
Sounds like my own voice_..
Echoing and resounding
Back into my ears
As I call to no one
In an empty room.
Smells like nothing at all_..
As I breathe
The totally restrained air
Of solitude.
Tastes like my own tears _..
As I cry silently in anguish
About my desolation.
Looks like a bewildered face in a mirror_..
As I look only to myself for comfort.
Loneliness is my own_..fault!
