The Web Poetry Corner - Diane Klammer - Four Waves

Four Waves

by

Diane Klammer

When the first wave broke
I cried my eyes out,
Sank under water.

When the second wave broke,
I noticed my tears,
Struggled for air.

When the third wave broke
I stopped crying,
Swam to shore.

I made it!

Now the forth wave breaks
On the wet hard sand
As I run to meet you.
