Eternal Questions
by
Diane Klammer
The grief we feel is sadness shared by all
As distant stars participate in pain.
Our universe will cry when one man falls
And loved ones everywhere with tears of rain.
Are we put on this earth to merely sing
The melody of life as but one song?
Or will eternally our voices ring
As we to some divine delight belong?
These questions come to mind when loved ones die.
We contemplate our loss and our own end.
The answers do not come, but sill we try,
As we can sense as we go round life’s bend
That every life is special and is treasured,
Loved by One so boundless and unmeasured.
