The Web Poetry Corner - Delores Senkbeil - WALKING WITH A MEMORY

WALKING WITH A MEMORY

by

Delores Senkbeil

Now that she's left me
Left me alone,
I keep recalling the joy we had known.

I'm walking with a memory
Down the shady road of time.
Walking with a memory
Of that ole gal of mine.
I can picture her so clearly
As we strolled down the lane hand in hand.
My heart would sing, like birds in the spring,
We were in love and it was so grand.
Now I'm walking with a memory,
Waiting for the sun to shine.
Walking with a memory
Of that ole gal of mine.
