The Web Poetry Corner - Delores Senkbeil - SO HEAVENLY (Sensual)

SO HEAVENLY (Sensual)

by

Delores Senkbeil

On my bed we are lying, so close together.
An open window emiting a cooling breeze.
We're so quiet, just holding hands, speechless.
The dream we've been having for so long
Had finally been fulfilled.

We never thought this chance would come,
That we could finally get together.
I guess sometimes fate does lend a hand.
It helps two aching hearts like ours,
Banish all their sorrows and cares.

For such a long time, we only had dreams.
So far apart, like we were in different worlds.
Then tonight you walked thru the door!
It had to be a dream, it couldn't be real!
I was so happy and surprised, I cried.

You took me lovingly into your arms,
And just held me so close to you.
Then you looked into my eyes,
And slowly, softly started kissing me.
Then I kissed you so hungrily, no hesitations.

We could hardly wait to get undressed.
The desire we felt was so overwelming.
When our two bare bodies entwined,
As close as we could get,
We needed no more stimulation.
Heaven opened up it's door and let us in.
