The Web Poetry Corner - Delores Senkbeil - OH, I WISH, I WISH, I WISH
OH, I WISH, I WISH, I WISH
by
Delores Senkbeil
Oh, I wish, I wish, I wish,
I could forget about you.
I think about you every day.
My nights are sad and blue.
The sunshine has just disappeared.
I only see clouds of gray.
All I have are memories,
Since you went away.
I'm living in a dreamworld.
When will it ever end?
I know you think a lot of me,
But only as a friend.
I'll never forget the love we shared,
That one memorable night.
It was just a brief encounter, Enough to whet my appetite.
My heart must have felt the glow
It hadn't felt for oh, so long.
It just won't seem to let you go.
It's keeping my love so strong.
Oh, I wish, I wish, I wish,
This glow in my heart would depart.
Maybe then my sun would shine again,
And another love could start.
NEXT?
