I Wish I Were Your Pillow
by
Delores Senkbeil
You tell me you hug your pillow
Every night when you're in bed.
If only I could be that pillow,
Then you'd be hugging me instead.
Not only would I be in your room.
I'd be enjoying your body too.
I would cuddle your head in my heart.
And confess my true love for you.
I would feel your fresh scented skin,
As you hold me so close to your face.
You said you pretended your pillow was me.
By now I would feel my eager heart race.
Oh, how I wish I were your pillow.
What a wonderous night it would be.
I'd protect you as you drifted off to dreamland,
It would be such a night of rapture for me.
