The Web Poetry Corner - Delores Senkbeil - I ACHE FOR YOU

I ACHE FOR YOU

by

Delores Senkbeil

Like sore muscles after
A hard, long workout.
Like a wisdom tooth
In need of pulling,
I ache for you.

Like a stiff back
From improper lifting,
Like a cavity
In need of filling,
I ache for you.

I ache all over for you.
My eyes long to see you.
My arms want to hold you.
My lips want to kiss you.
My fingers want to touch you.
My heart wants us to become one.

I ache so deeply for you.
Yet, I love the ache too much
To ever let it go.
