IN THE STILL OF THE SOUL
by
Delores Senkbeil
You may say to someone, "I love you,"
But are you sure your love is real?
In the still of the soul you wonder,
Is this exactly the way I feel?
Our hearts may tell us something,
That our souls do not accept.
In the still of the soul, we know
So many secrets are kept.
Most everyone in our world prays to a God.
Worshiping Him like you were taught to do.
In the still of the soul, you're wondering,
Is God always listening to you?
I always felt, in the still of my soul,
Wars and strife will never cease,
Until we all only pray to One God,
We'll never find love or world peace.
