The Web Poetry Corner - Delores Senkbeil - A DREAM WORLD

A DREAM WORLD

by

Delores Senkbeil

Living in a dream world,
Dreaming the hours away.
Missing you, my darling,
More and more each day.

Just a prisoner in a dream world
Where the skies are always gray.
Knowing it's the penalty
A fool in love must pay.

Locked up in this dream world,
Only you possess the key.
I'd be your slave forever,
If you'd only set me free.

Take me out of this dream world,
It's with you I want to be.
I'm begging you, my darling,
Make my dream a reality.
