You are cordially invited to dream a dream with me.
Oh, I'd be so delighted if in my dreams I'd see
Your dear sweet face, your laughing eyes
Your smile so warm and true.
I know I'd make you realize that you still love me too
All thru the day I think of you
No one else but you.
Then at night you're out of sight
And this will never do
Those dreams at night are empty
Your face I never see
So here's an invitation
To dream a dream with me.
