The Web Poetry Corner - Crystal Dawn Allen - Nathan and The Peach
Nathan and The Peach
by
Crystal Dawn Allen
-They don't taste bad, but they don't taste good,
do you know what i mean?
he said.
-Then why do you insist on eating peaches if they don't taste good?
I said.
-They don't taste BAD,
he said.
-They don't taste GOOD,
I said.
-But they are soft,
so very soft and juicy,
like the sweetest kiss,
he said.
I thought,
we don't kiss for the taste,
but for the kiss itself.
The things that had left a bad taste in my mouth before,
I decided to try again.
