The Web Poetry Corner - Crystal Dawn Allen - Decision

Decision

by

Crystal Dawn Allen

In two weeks,
there'll be fingers, and toes.
Not to mention two eyes
and one nose.
One knows not,
and knows not
what one knows.
In two weeks, there'll be fingers, and toes.

Petals drop
from a red, red rose.
There is life, dim within,
but it glows.
There is an echo
with each heartbeat
and louder it grows...
In two weeks,
there'll be fingers, and toes.

There is shadow
in the womb, but no light.
There is death
in the womb, but no light.
There is decision
but truly,
no choice, I suppose;
One knows not
and knows not
what one knows.
