The Web Poetry Corner - Clarius Ugwuoha - In The Teeth Of The Cloudburst
In The Teeth Of The Cloudburst
by
Clarius Ugwuoha
Caught
Hollow like a drum
Where it is darkest
And the paths drunk
Are impracticable
No incandescences illumine -
My contretemps
I am as nebulous as the sky
Which falling
Runs seawards dead
Caught in egrecious depths
Amidst rat-wet serfs
Onwards I must go
Out of depths
I turn seamstress
Beckoning on the receding grave
NEXT?
Why don't you look at
The Beautiful Lonely
