The Web Poetry Corner - Christine McGuigan - LOOK IN THE MIRROR

LOOK IN THE MIRROR

by

Christine McGuigan

Look,
Look in the mirror, my friend...
What do you see?
A man who gave up on himself,
A man who is not what he intended to be.

Look,
Look in the mirror dear friend...
What do you see?
A man who has sold himself,
A man who is no longer free.

Look,
Look in the mirror old friend...
What do you see?
A man who locked himself in isolation
And threw away the key.

Look...
Look in the mirror my friend...
What do you see?
A man who does not care about people,
A man who lost his humanity.
