The Web Poetry Corner - Chan Mongol - JIMMY CARTER 2

JIMMY CARTER 2

by

Chan Mongol

Can you tell me who did what for us
By violence, aggression, destruction!
Tell me what good came from war
Ripping off Berlin Baghdad Lebanon!

I am sorry that they all died or got killed
Their too much patriotism caused war;
They showed up their uniform and flag
Saddam Hirohito, Mussolini and Hitler!

Let billions of Jimmy Carter rise and live
World-wide let the best harmony blossom;
Let those hot headed leaders calm-down
Let us be one, no narrow nasty nationalism!

Long live peace talk, long live Jimmy Carter
I rather have an ax in my hand but not a gun;
To build neighbor's home like Jimmy does
I rather not be a homeless, nor in aimless run.

NEXT?
Why don't you look at For Children. 7.
