The Web Poetry Corner - Candi Timmerman - fingertips

fingertips

by

Candi Timmerman

It’s a sad sort of feeling when I look at you and feel the distance between us_
How do I fill that space?
You are one of those who pushes away one who would give him everything,
I know you have this barrier, which I shouldn’t cross,
But sometimes,
Sometimes,
I just want to put timid fingertips on the edge of you and
Pull you
Through to me.
Why won’t you come through to me?
I love you so.
And you pull away
But then light up,
Let go and embrace me fully
And then you are the perfection I desire for a little while,
And then,
You are away,
And then, I am all fingertips again,
When once again you are gone.

Why don't you look at That feeling of nostalgia
