The Web Poetry Corner - Candi Timmerman - For You

For You

by

Candi Timmerman

When you see him, tell his everything is better now. Tell him I loved him once and now my skies aren’t so grey.
Tell him my oceans aren’t so wide, and my river runs so much bluer.
Tell him the raindrops aren’t so cold, the thunder not so loud, and the butterflies he once made flutter are finally at peace.
Tell him that love isn’t quite so painful,
Tell him my scars are almost healed.
Tell him that the earth has finally ceased to crumble for him, the clouds have ceased to cry for him, the world has ceased to move for him and now FINALLY
Moves for me.
