The Web Poetry Corner - C. E. Chandler - Memories
Memories
by
C. E. Chandler
Here she walked and romped about,
right here beneath this maple tree,
where all the grass is trampled out,
and the swing she loved so, used to be.
It was here we used to meet,
how beautiful a sport is this,
to which she happily raced to greet,
her Daddy, with his evening kiss.
You see here nothing grand or fine,
but oh, what Memories are mine.
