The Web Poetry Corner - C. E. Chandler - Goodbye
Goodbye
by
C. E. Chandler
When I die, please lean over me and say,
In silence, all that I wish you would say.
Say goodnight as you said it before through our year,
with your look, your whisper, but this time with a tear.
In my silence you will know what you always knew,
. . . . . that I have never loved, as I love you.
