The Web Poetry Corner - Bruce Richard Wallace - Christina what would you call it

Christina what would you call it

by

Bruce Richard Wallace

When your eyes are big and bright when
I was around what would you call it?
When you place your hands where they
did not belong what would you call it?
When you told me that you cared what would you
call it? You baked me a cake
When you told me age did not matter what
would you call it? Your puppies do not lie.
When you wanted me go off with you to get
supplies for your business while my
wife watched your kids what would you
call it? Then when we were getting these
things would tell people I was your husband
like you did many a time.
We have phone records you called me every
night, what would you call?
But not to talk with my wife to talk with
me now see plus bat your eyes flip your
hair and tell me you love me what
would you call it?
