The Web Poetry Corner - Barbara Labarbera - It Was My Love To Give

It Was My Love To Give

by

Barbara Labarbera

I come to you
with heart full and true.
No matter the time
for just this moment you are mine.

A white satin sheet is spread
across this time's bed.
Bring your body close to me ...
know the pleasure of sheer ecstasy.

With love's breathless sigh
you'll know the feeling of love before you die.
I give you my body and soul
your's for all eternity to hold.

This time and place
as I look on your face ...
remember as long as you live,
it was my love to give.

Some day
in time far away ...
when your heart's memories fill
it was my love to give, forever and still.
