That brazen snake in the garden
Said, 'Take. Eat.'
Robbed us of all hope.

Just before He went into the garden,
Jesus said, "Take. Eat."
Gave us all hope.

The snake, in the Wilderness of Moses,
Lifted high
We are told
"Was a figure of Christ Crucified."
Our Everlasting hope.
