The Web Poetry Corner - Azra Daniel Francis - Old Age

Old Age

by

Azra Daniel Francis

The sun is old;
So very old.

Yet every second of its
Multi-billion years
It burns at noontide heat.

Mere blind and worldly ignorance
It is
That turns away from light,
And even in its turn
It turns around
And mindlessly it talks about

A setting sun.
