The Web Poetry Corner - Azra Daniel Francis - Coward, note.

Coward, note.

by

Azra Daniel Francis

How does an English bobby
Know it's a mad doggy?

When it appears to be South Asian
(Like, say, South American Brazilian?)
Running to catch a train in a Subway Station.

Then hunt it; catch it; and without hesitation,
Smash it to the ground
And bullet its brains out
Five times to be certain
It won't trigger imagined detonation
In the presence of pure Caucasian
Englishmen gawking around.
