The Web Poetry Corner - Azra Daniel Francis - A world sadness.
A world sadness.
by
Azra Daniel Francis
Today, a daughter
Treated as less than her brother
By her mother.
Tomorrow, will herself become
A mother treats her daughter
As less than her son.
This criminal cycle will end
Not through men,
But only when women
Stand firm
Against fathers,brothers,mothers, sons.
