The Web Poetry Corner - Arnab De - Wine and Women
Wine and Women
by
Arnab De
Many a times and often,
Have I mused in my mind?
Who should I love more;
Women or wine?
"It’s the woman",
My eyes declare;
My lips swear for the wine,
My heart does not care_
So I was confused,
Which way should I part?
I felt for my eyes, but chose my lips_
With all my heart!
Both burn my heart, what can I say?
While the wine kisses my lips, the woman stays away_.
