Some sing songs, others listen
In music and words, they come closer;
In between are the pennies and the dollars,
The business of love and get together

Some write books, some read
Some don’t, others just a little bit;
You go to the library and get educated
Your parents feed you, you eat
Get married and raise some kids!

Some eat a lot, some are never hungry
Some do not have the luxury to eat
Others drink too much and crave for more
Yet there are some with too many mouths to feed

Some sell speeches, some onions, others their faces
Still many don’t find anything to sell
I write songs, that’s how I live well
You stand in line to hear me sing
Some sell a lot, others a little
I still know some who would never sell anything.
